In 2021, we at West Maritime took a significant step to strengthen our service offering in inspection, certification, and engineering services. Together with the Bergen-based company Synfaring, we established Synfaring Møre, a joint company with headquarters in Fosnavåg.
Through this collaboration, we combine our expertise in design and stability calculations with Synfaring's proficiency in inspection and certification of fishing vessels. The goal has always been to provide customers with a more comprehensive offering, enabling them to rely on a single provider for multiple services.
Synfaring Møre has been approved as a control body for fishing vessels and cargo ships between 8 and 15 meters, and also offers inspection services to aquaculture, public buildings, and offshore facilities. The company covers the area from Sognefjorden to Frøya, thereby enhancing the offerings to both the fishing fleet and aquaculture industry in the region.
Since its establishment, we have observed how this partnership has contributed to expanding the scope of our work. For us, Synfaring Møre has become an example of how collaboration can create added value for customers, partners, and our own organization.
