Reliability and Expertise at Sea
West Maritime combines technical precision with maritime expertise to offer solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability in the maritime industry.
Technical Expertise – Driven by Practice and Innovation
West Maritime, established in 1996, is a consultancy and engineering firm primarily serving the maritime industry. Our headquarters are located in the center of Fosnavåg in Herøy Municipality.
We assist with everything from ship design and construction specifications to detailed drawings. Additionally, we can perform most types of calculations and analyses, including strength and stability calculations.
A Step Ahead for a Greener Maritime Future
We continuously update ourselves on sustainable and innovative solutions, with West Maritime focusing on the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We work to combat climate change by making sound decisions and enhancing energy efficiency in the maritime industry. This commitment is also demonstrated through our research project, SPERS (Smart Pump Energy Reduction System), which significantly reduces fuel consumption in ships. This leads to lower greenhouse gas emissions from vessels and helps to mitigate global warming.
Our employees collaborate with partners and clients to make sustainable choices, as collaboration is the most vital approach to creating a sustainable and green shipping industry.
Strong local foundation – international collaboration
West Maritime is based in Fosnavåg, at the heart of the Norwegian maritime industry. Together with our subsidiary, Metalcad, located in Rijeka, Croatia, we offer high technical expertise and flexible capacity across borders.
